Sasha Shapiro Promoted To Vice President, New Business Development, Warner Bros. International Theatres
(January 10, 2002 - Burbank, CA) - Sasha Shapiro has been promoted to Vice President, New Business Development, Warner Bros. International Theatres, it was announced today by Millard Ochs, President, Warner Bros. International Theatres (WBIT).
In his new position, Shapiro will continue to be responsible for all aspects of international theatrical development and new market analysis for Warner Bros. International Theatres. Shapiro is based in Burbank and reports directly to Ochs.
“Sasha’s work on exploring and evaluating new territories is invaluable to the operation of the division. His efforts in monitoring and researching the business opportunities in new countries, and his perceptive analysis of those opportunities, are a fundamental part of our operations. I wish him the best as he takes his new post, where we’ll continue to rely on his advice and insight,” Ochs said.
Prior to his current position, Shapiro served as Director, New Business Development, WBIT, a post he had held since joining the company in 2000. Previously, he had been Director, Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Warner Bros. Pictures International Distribution.
