(March 6, 2008 – Burbank, CA) – Steven Piorkowski has been promoted to Vice President, Corporate Communications, Warner Bros. Entertainment, it was announced today by Susan N. Fleishman, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, Warner Bros. Entertainment. Piorkowski, who will continue to report to Fleishman, will work with the Corporate Communications team to craft overall messaging and positioning of the Company for both internal (with the Human Resources group) and external audiences. In addition, he will prepare corporate press releases, internal communications, presentations and speeches for the Company’s corporate officers. He will also work with publicity and communications executives across Warner Bros. Entertainment’s business units to support cross-company objectives as well as liaise with Time Warner on a variety of ongoing projects, including the annual report and quarterly earning documents. “Steven has demonstrated consistent growth during his tenure and become an integral part of the communications team,” said Fleishman. “He’s smart, he’s funny, and his ability to shape and refine our company’s messaging is incredibly valuable. I’m pleased to recognize him with this well-deserved promotion.” An 18-year veteran of Warner Bros., Piorkowski has risen steadily through the communications ranks at the Company, having begun as an assistant to the head of Warner Bros. Television publicity in 1990. He left the Studio for 18 months in 1995, during which time he served as Manager, Print Advertising, King World Productions. Piorkowski returned to Warner Bros. in 1996 as Manager, Television Distribution Publicity, Warner Bros. He was promoted to Editorial Director, Corporate Communications, Warner Bros. Entertainment in 2000 and to Executive Director, Corporate Communications in 2007. Prior to joining the Studio, Piorkowski worked at the publicity firms Solters/Roskin/Friedman and The Brogliatti Company.
