The Clinic provides free patient visits and services, including the only mobile medical unit serving Los Angeles County’s homeless population. No individual is ever turned away for lack of funds. A handful of dedicated doctors, a small core staff and the generosity of loyal volunteers manage the health-care services for children and adults, 73% of whom live below poverty level. The Clinic is also the only health-care facility of its kind to offer free psychiatric services, family counseling, communicable-disease detection and treatment, mammogram screening, women’s health services and pediatric care and laser tattoo removal.
