The Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic has offered free health care for Los Angeles-area residents since 1968. The Clinic provides free patient visits and services, including the only mobile medical unit serving Los Angeles County’s homeless population. No individual is ever turned away for lack of funds. A handful of dedicated doctors, a small core staff and the generosity of loyal volunteers manage the health-care services for children and adults, 73% of whom live below poverty level. The Clinic is also the only health-care facility of its kind to offer free psychiatric services, family counseling, communicable-disease detection and treatment, mammogram screening, women’s health services and pediatric care and laser tattoo removal. # # #
