T-Home TV And T-Online Teka Signs Distribution Agreement With Warner Bros. International Television Distribution
(March 29, 2007) – T-Online Hungary has signed an agreement with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) providing T-Home TV and T-Online Téka with online video-on-demand rights to films from Warner Bros. for Hungary, it was announced today by Gyorgy Simó, CEO, T-Online Hungary and COO T-Com, and Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.
The multiyear pact—negotiated on behalf of WBITD by Ruth Woods, Manager, Sales and Sales Planning, Europe—will give T-Home TV and T-Online Téka access, via set-top box or PC, to a slate of current motion pictures distributed to the international TV marketplace by WBITD, as well as a number of classic titles from the Warner Bros. Entertainment library, beginning this April.
“The titles licensed under terms of the agreement include recent releases such as 'Blood Diamond,' 'The Prestige,' 'Happy Feet' and the Oscar® winning 'The Departed,' all set to premiere in 2007 on T-Home TV and T-Online Téka. Additional major pictures from the Warner Bros. library that will become available during 2007 on T-Home TV and T-Online Téka include the 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Matrix' trilogies, plus various 'Harry Potter' titles,” said Simó.
“We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with T-Online Hungary and to give viewers in Hungary on-demand access to world-class films from Warner Bros.,” said Schlesinger.
Award winning Hungarian productions, as well as documentaries, animated series and features are already available on T-Home TV and T-Online Téka.
