Telepictures Productions Names Bob Mohler Executive In Charge, New Media
(July 25, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — Telepictures Productions, one of the industry’s top producers of first-run programming for the syndication marketplace and a leader in the production and distribution of entertainment news on the Internet with TMZ, has promoted Bob Mohler to Executive in Charge, New Media, it was announced today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President, Telepictures Productions, to whom he will report.
In his new, expanded role, Bob will oversee Telepictures’ new media operation and spearhead execution of its digital initiatives, working closely with the programming team, led by Lisa Hackner, Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, as well as Brett Bouttier, Senior Vice President, Digital, Warner Bros. Television Group. Mohler will also work with show producers to develop and evolve online formats for existing television properties and evaluate and implement the use of new technologies. In addition, he will manage web integrations and advertising strategies with the advertising sales group.
“This promotion is an acknowledgement of Bob’s tremendous contribution to Telepictures’ becoming one of the leaders in the digital space. Mohler began his career at Telepictures Productions in 2000 as a Web Producer for “Extra’s” website, Extratv.com. In 2003, he was named Director of New Media and was responsible for producing television websites for “Extra,” “ElimiDate,” “Street Smarts,” “Larry Elder,” “Judge Mathis,” “The Bachelor: The Morning After,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Tyra Banks Show.” Mohler was promoted in 2005 to Executive Director of New Media while acting as Supervising Producer and Director of Operations for TMZ.com.
Prior to Telepictures, Mohler was a professor of acting at DePaul University and served as Managing Director and Artistic Director of the Eclipse Theater Company in Chicago. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Mohler worked at Casnet.com until 2003 as Director of Web Promotion.
