Telepictures Productions Names Tishan Waymire Vice President, Branded Entertainment And New Business
(July 31, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — Telepictures Productions, one of the industry’s top producers of first-run programming for the syndication marketplace and a leader in the production and distribution of entertainment news on the Internet with TMZ, has named Tishan Waymire to the position of Vice President, Branded Entertainment and New Business, it was announced today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President, Telepictures Productions, to whom she will report.
Waymire will spearhead and manage new business development initiatives and oversee product integration and sponsorship opportunities within Telepictures’ current slate of shows, as well as develop new advertiser-sponsored content partnerships across multiple platforms.
Waymire will work closely with the Warner Bros. Media Sales group and with advertisers and media buyers, as well as Telepictures executives and show producers on the creative execution of these integrations and sponsorships. She will also focus on expanding Telepictures’ syndicated programming across new platforms to create new areas of business for these brands.
“Tishan’s diverse background – encompassing branded entertainment, strategic planning and business development – coupled with her producing skills, production knowledge, advertiser relationships and deal-making abilities, makes her the perfect fit for this position,” said Estey McLoughlin.
Waymire was most recently the Director of Branded Entertainment and Strategy at TiVo, focusing on creating a distribution channel for advertiser-sponsored branded content. Prior to that, she worked at Mark Burnett Productions as a Task Producer for “The Apprentice” with Donald Trump and Martha Stewart, collaborating with major advertisers on the integration of products into these shows. Also at Mark Burnett, she was the Casting Producer/Writer on “The Casino.” Prior to Mark Burnett, Tishan worked at Microsoft from 2000-2003 as Director of Strategic Development in the Digital Television Group and as Director of Product Planning for Xbox, focusing on expanding the core demographic and the addition of non-gaming entertainment. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a B.A. in Sociology.
For the upcoming 2007-08 season, Telepictures, an industry-leading and Emmy® Award-winning producer of syndicated programming, is producing six nationally syndicated strips.
