Tony Jonas Signs New Development Deal With Warner Bros. Television
(August 9, 2002 - Burbank, CA) - Veteran executive Tony Jonas has signed a new development and production deal with Warner Bros. Television, it was announced today by Peter Roth, President, Warner Bros. Television.
“Tony is a talented, extremely well-liked and respected executive. We look forward to collaborating with Tony and his team,” stated Roth.

Jonas, who heads up his own production company, Tony Jonas Productions, will continue to serve as Executive Producer on the award-winning Showtime series “Queer As Folk,” which has been ordered for two more seasons with partners Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman, and Executive Producer on the new mid-season family comedy by Michael Jacobs “Lost At Home” for ABC.
Jonas served as President, Warner Bros. Television from 1995 - February 1999. He joined the studio in 1989 (then Lorimar Television) as Senior Vice President, Drama Development. In June of 1991, Jonas was promoted to Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs at Warner Bros. Television, in charge of all series development encompassing comedy, drama and reality programming.
Before joining Warner Bros., his executive background included three years as Vice President, Development at Disney Television; Senior Executive in Charge of Development for Winkler/Rich Productions at Paramount; Vice President, Dramatic Series and Long-Form Programming for MGM/UA; Director of Dramatic Series for Aaron Spelling Productions and Associate Producer, EMI Television, Inc. # # #
