Top-Rated Cartoon Series “Shaggy And Scooby-Doo Get A Clue!” On DVD
(August 14, 2007 - Burbank, CA) – "Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!," the latest smash-hit animated Scooby-Doo television series, will find its way to DVD October 30, 2007 from Warner Home Video (WHV). In this newest version of the popular series, everyone’s favorite sleuthing Great Dane and his pal Shaggy, take center stage and delight both kids and adults with a whole new set of adventures and unforgettable characters. "Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue!" Volume 1 will feature four 22-minute episodes from the television series’ first season. The DVD will retail for $14.97 SRP. Order due date is set for September 25, 2007.
In this hit new show, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are the big stars when fate brings them a windfall which enables them to solve mysteries using the coolest new technology. When Shaggy’s very wealthy uncle, Dr. Albert mysteriously disappears, Shaggy inherits his fortune. With the help of the inheritance, he upgrades the Mystery Machine, which can now morph itself into a number of other vehicles. Also, with the help of new Scooby Snacks, which have been mixed with a secret nanotech formula, Scooby-Doo finds he has special powers, one of which is the ability to fly. But now Scooby and Shaggy have to keep the secret of these powerful Scooby Snacks safe from those who want them for evil purposes. As they hit the trail solving mysteries and fending off the bad guys, they occasionally run into some dear old friends, including Fred, Velma and Daphne.
Featured episodes include; "Rags to Riches," "More Fondue for Scooby-Doo," "High Society Scooby" and "Party Arty." The DVD will also include an exciting “Shaggy and Scooby-Doo’s Crooked Capers” menu challenge as a bonus feature. The DVD will also include an engaging menu challenge that involves identifying and capturing villains in a fun-filled array of levels, as a bonus feature.
"Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!" made it’s debut September 2006 on the CW and quickly established itself as a favorite among young viewers. The show is rated in the top 2 of Kids’ WB! Saturday morning shows among children ages 2-11. The show has already been picked up for a second season this fall. On television, Scooby-Doo reaches more than 27 million people each month, including over 13 million kids ages 2-11.
