Consumer Products announced today that it has enlisted renowned designer Tarina Tarantino to create a number of jewelry lines inspired by “The Wizard of Oz,” in celebration of the legendary film’s 70th anniversary in 2009. The new collection, dubbed, “My Pretty,” will feature designs showcasing a number of the film’s beloved characters, including Dorothy, Glinda The Good Witch, Wicked Witch of the West, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Winged Monkey. The new line consists of a number of individual collections, each with their own unique take on one or more characters from “The Wizard of Oz.” The entire collection features colored images from the iconic film on Tarina Tarantino signature Lucite stone, including Dorothy, Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West. The Dorothy collection includes rainbow patterns mixed with emerald tones inspired by the gleaming Emerald City. In contrast, the Wicked Witch collection uses signature Lucite skulls in black cherry and emerald shades, tooth and claw shaped Lucite and metal spikes. Additionally, black and white Lucite stones with stills from “The Wizard of Oz” film will include Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Winged Monkey. These stone collections will have classic styles, including a toggle necklace and key chain/bag candy.
