Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution Names Brian Moreno And Peter Baer To Sales Vice President Posts
(July 16, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — Brian Moreno and Peter Baer have both been named to sales vice president posts at Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution, it was announced today by Eric Frankel, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution (WBDCD).
Based in the company’s Burbank, Calif., headquarters, Moreno has been tapped as Vice President, Sales. In this position, he will be responsible for the domestic licensing of motion picture and television content distributed by the Studio to pay television and basic cable. Moreno will report to Gus Lucas, Executive Vice President, Sales, WBDCD.
“Coming from Warner Bros. Online, Brian has an intimate knowledge of our business as well as the Warner Bros. library,” said Lucas. “With his outstanding sales skill set, Brian will be invaluable to our program licensing efforts going forward.”
Based in New York, Baer will serve as Vice President, Sales and Sponsorships. He will be responsible for representing WBDCD to Madison Avenue and creating branded entertainment opportunities for a variety of clients in connection with Warner Bros. Entertainment content and its distribution to the basic cable and pay television marketplace. He, too, will report to Lucas.
“Peter’s extensive background in sales and business development, coupled with his successful track record in strategic brand marketing, makes him the ideal individual to take on this important sales and sponsorship role here, as we strive to license programming to our clients while developing new and successful business models,” said Lucas.

A 15-year veteran of Time Warner, Moreno served in a variety of sales, marketing and business development posts within the company before joining WBDCD. Most recently, he was Vice President, Strategic Marketing, for Warner Bros. Online, where he was responsible for the development and management of global marketing services. He also had stints at Warner Home Video and the Warner Music Group, where he served as Executive Vice President, Warner Vision Entertainment, in charge of sales, business development, marketing and acquisitions.
Additionally, Moreno served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Video, Playboy Entertainment Group, overseeing business strategy, sales, licensing and marketing. He has also held posts at Style365.com, Lorimar, Sega Enterprises, Atari Inc., and advertising agencies DDB and Della Femina, Travisano & Partners. He earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from UCLA.
Baer comes to WBDCD from CBS Radio, where he served as the Vice President of Strategic Sales & Marketing. In this capacity, he created multi-million dollar cross-platform (on-air, online, streaming, mobile and live event) marketing campaigns for major brands such as Sony and Johnson & Johnson, forged e-commerce partnerships (e.g. Amazon.com and RealNetworks) to enhance CBS Radio digital assets and focused on key CBS initiatives, including Radio 2.0 (personalized radio platform where listeners can create their own stations), CBS Green Radio and CBS R.I.O.T. (Radio, Internet, Outdoor, Television).
Prior to that, Baer was Executive Vice President, LockStream Corporation – a software company that offered copy protection, anti-piracy and Digital Rights Management solutions to a variety of clients – where he oversaw all worldwide business development, sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining LockStream, Baer was an executive at Warner Bros. Pay-TV, Cable & Network Features, overseeing new business initiatives including video-on-demand and pay-per-view. Mr. Baer holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU's Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s in English Literature from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He is the co-chair of the Hassenfeld Committee, the New York City Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at NYU Medical Center, and serves on the Board of Directors of Relevantis, Inc.
