Warner Bros. Entertainment Offers Comic-Con Fans Free Digital Downloads On The iTunes Store Via Promotion On 27,000 San Diego Hotel Room Keys
(July 21, 2009 - Burbank, CA and Cupertino, CA) – The Warner Bros. Television Group and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution are teaming up to offer Comic-Con fans a free digital download of an episode of four television series and an original motion comic available on the iTunes Store (www.iTunes.com) via a promotional URL found on the front of 27,000 branded room keys at San Diego hotels during the upcoming convention.
The Studio has created five limited edition key cards that will be distributed at 32 participating hotels throughout the San Diego area during the week of the Con:
• “Fringe”
• “Supernatural”
• “Chuck”
• “Smallville”
• Motion comic “Superman Red Son” Each collectible card features key art from the television series or motion comic, along with a URL and instructions on how to download a free episode on iTunes. Fans can download the designated free episode on iTunes as of July 20 for the television series and July 24 for the “Superman Red Son” motion comic. The free episode offer must be redeemed by August 4, 2009.
