Warner Bros. France To Co-Produce “Le Carton” With Source Films
(January 26, 2004 - Paris, France) – Warner Bros. France will co-produce the French-language film “Le Carton” (“Living in a Box”) with Source Films. 2003 Productions and France 2 Cinema will also co-produce. Warner Bros. France holds theatrical and home video distribution rights in France and all other French-speaking territories. It was announced today by Francis Boespflug, the Managing Director of Warner Bros. France.
“‘Le Carton’ is a unique project starring some of France’s newest talents. In our co-production pursuits, it’s been important for us to work with rising actors along with established veterans,” commented Boespflug.
Based on the successful stage play of the same name, “Le Carton” is a comedy starring new French comedians Vincent Desagnat, Bruno Salomone, Fred & Omar, Armelle Deutsch, Catherine Benguigui, Cecilia Cara, and Clement Michel and will be produced by Sebastien Fechner.
Directed by Charles Nemes, “Le Carton” will begin principal photography on February 9, 2004 for eight weeks in and surrounding Paris, France and is scheduled to be released in September 2004.
Fechner declared, "I am proud to be associated with Warner Bros. on this project and I hope it is the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration."
