Warner Bros. International Television Production Acquires New Reality Game Show Format “Rent a Brain” from Italy’s Blue Box Entertainment
(February 24, 2014 – London) – “Rent a Brain” is the new format that asks the question: What would happen if you had the ability to control the brain of someone you love? In this unique and compelling show, the control chair can be occupied by a variety of people, from worried parents to concerned best friends, all of whom hope to prove to their loved ones that their lives could be so much better…if only they behaved in a different way.
These loved ones are proud of their bad behaviour, and don’t believe they need to change – but would they be willing to give someone else control of their brain for the chance of winning a cash prize?
Hidden cameras are used to capture their every move, and every awkward moment, whilst the person in the control chair tells them exactly what to say and do through an earpiece. If the loved ones disobey an order…no matter how absurd…they forfeit a percentage of the overall cash prize.
After the experiment, the amount of prize money remaining is revealed. But more importantly, how are these out-of-control loved ones feeling after the experience – will they adopt any of the enforced changes for good?
