Warner Bros. International TV Production Appoints Peter Langenberg To Newly Created Position Of Vice President, Business Management
(October 4, 2011 – London, UK) – Peter Langenberg has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Business Management, Warner Bros. International TV Production (WBITVP), it was announced today by Ronald Goes, Executive Vice President of WBITVP.
Based in London, Langenberg will be the primary operational contact between WBITVP and all local operating companies acquired as part of the Studio’s international expansion into local TV production. He will be responsible for supporting the local management of these operating companies in optimizing their activities, and ensuring that each derives the maximum benefit from being part of the WBITVP network.
“Peter has over 15 years experience in the international television sector, having worked across many aspects of this fast-evolving industry. We will look to him for his knowledge, relationships and operational know-how as we continue to grow and expand this new business,” said Goes.
Langenberg joins Warner Bros. International Television Production from a role as Chief Operating Officer for R&D Media Holding B.V. and 3 Circles Media Holding B.V. Prior to R&D and 3 Circles, Langenberg spent ten years with Endemol as Executive Director of Operations for Endemol Group, Executive Director of Licensing and most recently as Executive Producer of Entertainment for Endemol Nederland B.V.
In 2009, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution announced the formation of Warner Bros. International Television Production. In 2010, WBITVP acquired a majority stake in Shed Media, one of the UK’s largest and most successful independent production companies, with operations in both the UK and the US, and in September 2011, WBITVP acquired a majority stake in BlazHoffski Holding B.V., a leading independent television producer The Netherlands and Belgium. These acquisitions marked significant steps in the Company’s goal to become a leading player in the production of local programming in major territories around the world through the establishment and acquisition of production companies. The companies’ mandates are to develop original local programming on a market by market basis and create locally produced versions of formats and IP owned by the group, such as “The Bachelor,” "Super Nanny," “Who Do You Think You Are” and “H8R.”###
