Warner Bros. Online Appoints Dan Cooke VP, Sales
(February 16, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – Dan Cooke has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Sales for Warner Bros. Online, it was announced today by Jim Noonan, General Manager and SVP for Warner Bros. Online. Cooke will oversee Warner Bros. Online’s sales team in all aspects of external sales development, including expanding the company’s client base and the creation of strategic product offerings.
“We are thrilled to have Dan onboard,” said Jim Noonan. “He is a pro with extensive experience developing innovative, multi-media sales packages in the entertainment and interactive spaces. He will be of great value as we continue to take Warner Bros. Online to the next level.”
Cooke, who will report to Warner Bros. Online’s VP of Operations Staci Miller, most recently served as VP of Sales for 360 Youth, which is the media arm of Gen Y marketer Alloy Inc. While there, he built the sales team from the ground up and reorganized sales efforts along vertical industries, shifting focus to client needs and solution sales. Under his leadership, the sales team developed innovative packages that combined interactive, database, design, place-based media, newspapers, sampling and promotional events.
Prior to 360 Youth, Cooke served as a Director of Sales for America Online, where he formed and managed the daily sales effort of the company’s first dedicated entertainment team. While at the company, he also spearheaded efforts for the Advertising and Local Partnership groups. Cooke began his sales career at the New York Times, where he served in a variety of sales positions over a nine year period. In particular, he worked with the paper’s filmed entertainment sales team managing accounts and creating seasonal film preview packages for Warner Bros., Sony, New Line and others.
Cooke is a graduate of Georgia State University, where he received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, double majoring in Advertising & Economics.
