(September 13, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Pictures has moved the release date of the action thriller “Training Day,” starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, from September 21 to October 5. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. “After making the decision yesterday to postpone the October 5 release of our political action thriller ‘Collateral Damage,’ we determined for a variety of reasons that October 5 would be a more appropriate release date for ‘Training Day,’” Fellman said. A gripping drama set in the shadowy world of undercover police work, “Training Day” tells the story of a veteran L.A.P.D. narcotics officer (Denzel Washington) who guides an idealistic rookie (Ethan Hawke) through his first day on the brutal inner-city beat.
