Pictures Germany is extending its partnership with German film industry leader X-Filme and its distribution arm X-Verleih AG in a long-term, multi-faceted distribution agreement covering up to 20 films, it was announced today by Willi Geike, Vice President & Managing Director, Warner Bros. Pictures Germany. Warner Bros. Pictures Germany’s association with X-Filme began in 2001 with “Wie Feuer Und Flamme” and continued through the highly successful theatirical box offce and DVD/VHS success of the multi-award winning “Goodbye Lenin!” directed by Wolfgang Becker in 2003. “We are looking forward to continuing the great relationship with X-Verleih AG that we have achieved in working together on such famous movies like 'Goodbye Lenin!' in the last three years,” said Geike.
