Warner Bros. Pictures Signs First-Year Deal With Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films
(April 5, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Pictures has signed a two-year first look deal with Flower Films, the production company run by Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen. The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Barrymore is currently set to star opposite Eric Bana in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ "Lucky You" for director Curtis Hanson. She and Juvonen founded Flower Films in 1995. Their producing credits include "Fever Pitch," "Fifty First Dates," "Charlie's Angels" and "Charlie's Angels 2," "Duplex," "Donnie Darko" and "Never Been Kissed."
“Drew represents a rare and wonderful combination, in that she’s a gifted actress and a smart and effective producer,” said Robinov. “She and Nancy have developed and produced some tremendously successful films, and we are really happy to have them at Warner Bros. Pictures, where we think they’ll continue to grow and flourish.”
As an actress, Barrymore’s other recent credits include "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," "Riding in Cars With Boys," "Ever After" and "The Wedding Singer."
