Warner Bros. Recording Artist Lindsay Pagano Sings The Theme Song For The WB’s “Maybe It’s Me”
(September 10, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. recording artist Lindsay Pagano’s debut single, “Everything UR,” will be the title song for The WB’s new comedy “MAYBE IT’S ME” (Fridays, 8:00-8:30 p.m. ET). Pagano’s debut album “Love & Faith & Inspiration” featuring “Everything UR” is scheduled to be released on October 23.
The daughter of a singer and a musician from Philadelphia, Pagano’s dynamic vocal range, drenched in soul and pop, began to emerge almost as soon as she could speak. In addition to her love for rock, Pagano developed a passion for powerful female voices like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Etta James and Aretha Franklin. According to Billboard magazine, “Lindsay Pagano may have the vocal timbre of a 15-year-old, but she conjures the heart and soul of a singer twice her age.”
One of the biggest thrills in 15-year-old Pagano’s career has been providing harmonies with Paul McCartney on his song “So Bad.” The ex-Beatle suggested Pagano cover the song on her own album when they met while recording their respective albums at the former A&M Studios in Hollywood. Producer Jude Cole recorded McCartney’s vocals while Pagano was out of town and surprised her when she returned. When Pagano heard the harmonies she was elated at having Sir Paul on her first album.
“Warner Bros. Records sent over tons of music for us to listen to but once we heard ‘Everything UR’ we knew we had our song, “ said Suzanne Martin, executive producer of “MAYBE IT’S ME.” “Lindsay’s music spoke to us the same way our lead character Molly would. You can feel the full range of emotions in the songs that she performs and since so much of ‘MAYBE IT’S ME’ is about coming of age and emotion, she was the perfect choice.”
Starring Reagan Dale Neis, Julia Sweeney and Fred Willard in the title roles, the cast of “MAYBE IT’S ME” is rounded out by Patrick Levis, Andrew Walker, Daniella Cantermen, Deanna Canterman, Vicki Davis, Ellen Albertini Dow and Dabbs Greer.
Martin serves as executive producer along with Jay Daniel and Jeff Martin for Warner Bros. Television and Touchstone Television.
