• Chuck Lorre — What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us…?: Television’s top comedy writer/producer offers up controversial and uncensored musings and insights with his book “What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us Bitter,” a curated collection of his irreverent vanity cards which have aired for years at the end of his hit series “Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike & Molly” before finding a home in print. Inside Warner Bros. Tell-A-Vision, attendees will experience 3D artistic renderings of vanity cards from the imagination of Chuck Lorre — including a 10-foot television remote control wrapped inside a giant condom. The exhibit invades the space on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, in conjunction with Lorre’s SXSWi featured session (see below for programming details).

• How Do You Like to Watch?: Home to hit series like “The Vampire Diaries,” “Arrow” and “Supernatural,” The CW Network has successfully bridged the storytelling divide between broadcast television and multi-screen digital offerings. • Pitch Your Story: Proving that great storytelling exists in all of us, The CW Network is offering SXSWi attendees the opportunity to pitch their original ideas for a digital series to CWD, The CW’s digital studio, on March 10–11. Attendees visiting the “Warner Bros. Tell-A-Vision” space on Sunday and Monday will be given the opportunity to make an original on-camera pitch for their digital series ideas for consideration by CWD. Each participant will be asked to sign a standard waiver. Once all entries are received, CWD executives will review the recorded pitches and determine the most effective and promising digital series idea. One lucky storyteller may have the chance to travel to Los Angeles to pitch their digital series ideas directly to industry executives for consideration by CWD.

• 3:30–4:30 p.m. Chuck Lorre: In Conversation with Neil Gaiman — Top TV comedy hitmaker Chuck Lorre (“Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Mike & Molly”) makes his SXSW debut in a wide-ranging discussion with best-selling author Neil Gaiman (Stardust, Coraline, and the acclaimed comic book series The Sandman) about the creative process, the challenges of keeping three of television’s most successful shows running, and the stories behind Lorre’s original, opinionated and often-controversial end-of-show “vanity cards” — a curated selection of which were recently published in his new book, “What Doesn’t Kills Us Makes Us Bitter.” The book — from which all of Lorre’s proceeds will go to charity — reveals an irreverent, thought-provoking and scandalous body of work unlike any other creative endeavor, veering from philosophical treatises to personal revelations and the occasional furious diatribe.
