Warner Bros. Television To Supply 28 Series For Fall 2003-04 Primetime Schedule
(May 15, 2003 – New York) - Warner Bros. Television will produce 28 series for the Fall 2003-04 primetime schedule, supplying two or more shows to each of the six broadcast networks. The studio will have 13 returning programs, including six sophomore series.
WBTV received 15 new series orders for the fall, 10 comedies and 5 dramas. This represents 45% of all pilots produced by the studio (33 pilots), up from 37% last year.
WBTV will provide 10 shows for the WB, 5 new and 5 returning series, 6 comedies and 4 dramas.
Two of the studios franchise shows “ER” and “The West Wing,” have received orders for two additional years from NBC, now locked through year 12 on “ER” and year 6 on “The West Wing.”
The Warner Bros. roster of producers and writers scored big this fall. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce 4 series for WBTV, three new and one returning show “Without A Trace.” Eric and Kim Tannenbaum will have three new comedies on the schedule. Tollin-Robbins will produce four series this season, while Bruce Helford will produce three shows. Mutchnick and Kohan, and Amy Sherman-Palladino have two programs respectively. # # #
