Warner Home Video And Blockbuster Agree To New UK Trading Terms
(February 26, 2003 – London) - Blockbuster UK and Warner Home Video today announced that they have reached agreement regarding the release of movies for rental on DVD and VHS in Blockbuster’s UK outlets. This agreement underpins the commitment of both companies to the UK rental and retail businesses and, as a result, Blockbuster will immediately begin to carry Warner Home Video titles available for both rental and sale in all its stores in the UK.
Commenting on the development, Neil McEwan, Managing Director, Warner Home Video said: “We are very pleased to have reached this agreement as it is important that our titles are available in Blockbuster UK. We want customers to be able to rent or buy the titles they want, when they want, from the outlet of their choice. This agreement helps them do that.”
