Warner Home Video And IMAX Take An Incredible Voyage Into Space This October
(July 3, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – On October 2, Warner Home Video (WHV) blasts into space with a cosmic line-up of spectacular titles from IMAX®. Included in this amazing collection are the breathtaking IMAX® films “Destiny In Space,” “Mission To Mir” and “Hail Columbia!” A definitive library of IMAX® space exploration films will also be available in one collectible box set.
October marks the highly-anticipated landing of NASA’s 2001 Mars Odyssey. To commemorate this historic event, Warner Home Video and IMAX® team up to take viewers to the final frontier. “Destiny In Space” (referred to by The Sydney Morning Herald as “fascinating beyond the bounds of “Star Wars,” “Star Trek” and “2001: A Space Odyssey!”), “Mission To Mir” and “Hail Columbia!” will each be available for $14.95 SRP ($9.95 MAP) on VHS and $19.98 SRP ($14.95 MAP) on DVD. “The IMAX Space Collection” (which, in addition to the three titles above, includes the hits “Blue Planet” and “The Dream Is Alive”) will be available in a five-VHS box set for $75.92 SRP ($49.95 MAP) and a five-disc DVD box set for $98.92 ($74.95 MAP).
