Warner Home Video Promotes Ronald J. Sanders To Executive Vice-President & General Manager Of US Operation
(January 14, 2003 — Burbank, CA) — Warner Home Video (WHV) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ronald J. Sanders to Executive Vice-President & General Manager, United States, it was announced today by Jim Cardwell, newly-appointed President of WHV. In his new position he will assume full P&L responsibility for all activities in the United States, including sales, marketing, finance, administration and operations.
“This promotion recognizes Ron’s expertise and dedication,” said Cardwell. “I am highly confident in his ability not only to manage our current business but also to face the challenges of continuing our excellent levels of growth.”
Sanders has helped shape the success of Warner Home Video for more than a decade, serving most recently as Senior Vice-President and Co-Managing Director of Europe, Middle East, & Africa. During his three-year tenure with WHV Europe, he held all P&L responsibilities and directed activities with affiliates and licensees in 46 territories, WHVs largest region outside of North America.
Sanders joined WHV in 1991 and held various managerial positions including Vice-
President, Rental Sales and Vice-President, Sell Through Sales before being promoted in
1999 to Managing Director, United Kingdom & Ireland, which based him in London.
Running the largest WHV international territory, he generated revenue growth of more than 20% in his first year and implemented the launch of DVD. Sanders previously held positions with Procter & Gamble and holds a BS in Business Administration from Auburn University in Alabama. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
