The WB’s Jamie Kennedy Is Joined By Olympic Gold Medalist Apollo Ohno, The Laker Girls, Jim Belushi And George Wendt During The Month Of May On “JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment”
(April 23, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — Olympic Gold Medalist Apollo Ohno, Jim Belushi (“According to Jim”) and George Wendt (“Cheers”) team up with Jamie Kennedy to fool the unsuspecting public on “JKX: THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT” during May sweeps. Meanwhile, it’s time for the NBA playoffs and the Laker Girls dance their way into Kennedy’s trap as they fall prey to one of his riotous pranks on April 28. “JKX: THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT” airs Sunday nights at 9:30-10:00 p.m. ET.
In a sketch reminiscent of his old SNL days, Belushi portrays himself as a concerned pet owner who brings his dog to a renowned pet psychiatrist (Kennedy) to cure the animal of his bad habits. However, the joke is off and running when a bloody and mangled Belushi bursts in on Kennedy’s session with an unsuspecting mark and accuses the good doctor of hypnotizing his dog to attack him.
The Laker Girls are great sports when Kennedy is introduced to them as a European choreographer with some unusual moves for their half-time routines. Joining Kennedy as accomplices in crime, Olympic speed skater Apollo Ohno conspires on an outlandish adventure and George Wendt plays the host of a “This Is Your Life”-style game show where the truth is stranger than fiction.
From executive producers Jamie Kennedy, Fax Bahr & Adam Small and Mike Karz the series is produced by Bahr Small Productions and Karz Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television Production and Big Ticket Television, A Paramount / Viacom Company.
