(October 26, 2004 – Burbank, CA) — The WB Network will kick-off a November sweep of epic proportions when it presents the world broadcast television premiere of the critically acclaimed box office smash, “THE LORD OF THE RINGS, THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING,” over two nights on Sunday, November 7 and Monday, November 8. The November lineup will also include the network’s first made-for-television movie, “SAMANTHA: AN AMERICAN GIRL HOLIDAY,” on Tuesday, November 23, with an encore presentation on Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 25. Based on the popular American Girls Collection of dolls and books, the movie brings to life the story of Samantha Parkington, an orphan girl being raised by her wealthy grandmother in 1904. AnnaSophia Robb (star of the upcoming feature films “Because of Winn-Dixie” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) stars in the title role and Mia Farrow (“Rosemary’s Baby) appears as her grandmother. Monday highlights include the November 22 episode of “7TH HEAVEN,” when Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) faces a pregnancy scare and is rushed to the hospital, while Simon’s (David Gallagher) girlfriend (guest star Rheagan Wallace) tells him that she is pregnant. On November 29, actor/singer Wayne Newton guest-stars as himself. Big changes are in store on the critically acclaimed drama “EVERWOOD” on November 15 when Ephram (Gregory Smith) realizes he has learned all he can from Will Cleveland (guest star James Earl Jones) and it’s time to find a new piano teacher. On November 22, Amy (Emily VanCamp) and Ephram make the momentous decision to sleep together for the first time, while Andy’s (Treat Williams) feelings for Amanda (guest star Anne Heche) continue to grow despite his reservations. On the November 9 episode of “GILMORE GIRLS,” Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann) throw a party to introduce Rory (Alexis Bledel) to all the eligible sons of their Yale alumni friends, leading Dean (Jared Padalecki) to question his place in Rory’s world. On November 16, Emily decides it’s time to start dating again, and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) asks Christopher (David Sutcliffe) to lunch and is surprised when both Luke (Scott Patterson) and Rory are not happy about it. On “ONE TREE HILL,” Maria Menounos (“Entertainment Tonight”) guest-stars on November 9, when Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) are off on a road trip, and Brooke (Sophia Bush), Peyton (Hilarie Burton), Anna (Daniella Alonso) and Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) throw a rowdy slumber party. On November 16, a romantic riverboat is the setting for the Tree Hill High Formal, where secrets come bubbling to the surface.
