DramaFever Names Rena Liu as General Manager
(April 4, 2018 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Digital Networks today announced that Rena Liu has been named General Manager of DramaFever. In this role, Liu will oversee all operations, including content, marketing, revenue and product at DramaFever, as well as lead business development and strategic growth for the company. Liu will report to recently announced General Manager of Warner Bros. Digital Labs, Patty Hirsch.
Liu was previously head of Warner Bros. Digital Labs’ business operations and strategy. Before joining DramaFever, Liu held a number of roles at NBCUniversal, helping executive leaders across Film, Ad Sales and Cable Entertainment divisions develop key strategic initiatives through a shifting media landscape.
As one of her first moves as DramaFever’s GM, Liu has revealed plans for the launch of the service’s newest vertical, “DramaFever Journeys,” a curated selection of hit seasons and fan-favorite unscripted programming centered entirely around relationships and romance. Beginning today, you can exclusively stream fan-favorite library seasons of the groundbreaking reality series "The Bachelorette" and “The Bachelorette Australia,” including all episodes of “The Bachelorette” seasons 8, 10, 11, 12, and, for the first time on demand in the U.S., “The Bachelorette Australia” season 3, through a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to lead DramaFever at such an exciting time when more and more people are looking for the kind of feel-good, boundary-breaking entertainment we offer,” said Liu. “Millions of fans have made DramaFever the leading destination for addictive rom-com content from Korea and across East Asia, and we are excited to welcome a whole new audience that love series that are just as addictive, romantic and funny as our beloved K-dramas.”

This single and eligible bachelorette - a confident, successful and sensitive woman who is ready to find love - will embark on a romantic journey as she meets single and eligible charming men. As the Bachelorette gets to know each one, she'll continue to narrow the field. They will travel to exotic locations and spend time getting to know each other; she will introduce them to her family and friends and meet some of theirs. At the end of her romantic voyage, if she has found Mr. Right, will there be a proposal - and from whom? Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelorette” is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.
