Warner Home Video Enters Into Distribution Agreement For Multiple Titles With LeapFrog Enterprises “Best Educational Toy Of The Year”* Manufacturer
(October 21, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Home Video Inc. (WHV) and LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. a leading developer of innovative technology-based educational products, have entered into a domestic home video and DVD distribution agreement for multiple titles, it was announced today by Jeff Baker, WHV Vice President, Non-theatrical Franchise Marketing.
Under terms of the multi-year agreement, WHV will exclusively distribute multiple children’s preschool learning home video and DVD titles produced by LeapFrog. The first of these titles include the animated “The LeapFrog Letter Factory” and “The LeapFrog Talking Words Factory,” both of which will be available December 9th, 2003, for $14.98 each (SRP) on DVD and $8.93 each (SRP) on video. In addition, LeapFrog Enterprises has slated several additional titles to the preschool market, to be released in 2004.
“The LeapFrog Letter Factory” follows popular LeapFrog characters Leap, Lily, Tad and Professor Quigley on their adventure to the Letter factory. Here, they tour various rooms where each letter of the alphabet is learning to say its phonetic sound. For example, the letter Cs are in the freezer room where it is “Ccc-Ccc-Ccc-COLD.” This title is for children ages 2-5 and features original songs designed to educate and entertain in an interactive manner to foster language development skills.

Produced to complement “The LeapFrog Letter Factory,” “The LeapFrog Talking Words Factory” is for children ages three and up, taking the educational process to the next level by focusing on word construction and rhyming. In the video, Leap, Lily and Tad journey to the Talking Words Factory and interact with machines that make a group of letters into words. “The LeapFrog Talking Words Factory” also incorporates humorous songs to engage children.
