Warner Independent Pictures And Warner Bros. Pictures International To Release Leonardo DiCaprio’s “The 11th Hour”
(May 1, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — Warner Independent Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures International are set to release the feature documentary "The 11th Hour," with Warner Bros. Pictures International taking on international distribution, and Warner Independent Pictures releasing the film in North America. The Leonardo DiCaprio-produced documentary, "The 11th Hour," directed and co-written by Leila Conners-Petersen and Nadia Conners, will make its world premiere at the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival. "The 11th Hour" is slated for a Fall 2007 release. The announcement was made jointly today by Sue Kroll, President, Marketing, and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President, Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures International, and Polly Cohen, President Warner Independent Pictures.
"The 11th Hour" describes the last moment when change is possible. The film explores how humanity has arrived at this moment – how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course. The film features ongoing dialogues with experts from all over the world, including former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, former head of the CIA R. James Woolsey and sustainable design experts William McDonough and Bruce Mau, in addition to over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who discuss the most important issues that face our planet and people.
Produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, directed by Leila Conners Peterson and Nadia Conners and co-written by DiCaprio, Conners Petersen and Conners, "The 11th Hour" is produced by Chuck Castleberry, Brian Gerber, Conners Peterson and DiCaprio.
