Nominated for eight Academy Awards and winner of five, including "Best Picture," this 1956 cinematic adaptation of the classic Jules Verne story is epic in scope (and in the number of stars who make appearances throughout).

David Niven plays Phileas Fogg who bets his fellow club members that he can circle the globe in 80 days. That may not be impressive today, but, in 1872, it was nearly impossible.

Accompanied by his valet, Passepartout, and the wandering Princess Aouda, Fogg crosses Europe, India, Japan, the Pacific and the United States in his quest, and the Oscar-winning Cinematography by Lionel Lindon captures it all.
