BBTV And Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Conclude Video-On-Demand License Agreement - Service Begins In July
(July 7, 2004 – Tokyo) - BB Cable Corp. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; representative: Taro Hashimoto), a wholly owned subsidiary of Club iT Corporation and operator of BBTV, has signed a VOD license agreement with Warner Brothers International Television Distribution (head office: Burbank, USA). This multi-year non-exclusive arrangement will provide BBTV VOD subscribers the ability to choose such Warner Brothers hit movies as “Matrix Revolutions,” “Last Samurai” and “Two Weeks Notice.”

BBTV is a broadcast and VOD service provided by BB Cable Corp., a cable television business using a dedicated backbone and ADSL lines provided by SOFTBANK BB Corp. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Masayoshi Son). The actual services will be provided to subscribers of SOFTBANK BB Corp. and Yahoo Japan Corp. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahiro Inoue) broadband subscribers. The system will offer ●● channels. As of June 2004, the service offers about 2,600 VOD titles and held a distribution agreement with NBC Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox Studios, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and DreamWorks SKG.
