Chris Dyde Named Senior Vice President International Licensee Markets For Warner Home Video
(March 3, 2008 – London) – Warner Home Video has hired former Sony Pictures Home Entertainment executive Chris Dyde as its new Senior Vice President, International Licensee Markets, it was announced today by Philippe Cardon, President, International, Warner Home Video.
At Warner Home Video, Dyde, based in London, will spearhead business development and licensing agreements for Warner Home Video’s EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America territories. He will also be charged with managing Warner Home Video’s ongoing partner relationships on an International basis.
“Chris’ experience working with licensees around the world make him the perfect choice for this new post,” said Cardon. “He will be an incredible addition to our team.”
Dyde joins Warner Home Video from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, where he served as Vice President, EMEA Licensing, managing Sony Picture’s DVD licensing business with full profit and loss responsibility for multiple territories across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
“I am eager to take on this new opportunity,” said Dyde. “My goal is to further cement Warner Bros.’ position as a global leader in licensed territories,” said Dyde.
Prior to his six years at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Dyde worked for Buena Vista Home Entertainment for eight years. He was the European General Manager at SuperComm Europe Limited (a Sony subsidiary acquired from Disney), having established the company as a Disney start up.
A graduate of College in Bristol in the U.K., Dyde is married and lives in South West London.
