Dorothy Barber Promoted To Senior Vice President, Financial Contract Reporting And Administration, Warner Bros. Entertainment
(May 5, 2008 – Burbank, CA) - Dorothy Barber has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Financial Contract Reporting and Administration, Warner Bros. Entertainment, it was announced today by Ed Romano, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Warner Bros. Entertainment.
In her new post, Barber will oversee the department responsible for payment of all contractual residuals and participations to partners and third parties related to current and library films, television and home video properties across all of the Studio’s divisions. Barber most recently served as Vice President, Participations, Warner Bros. Entertainment.
“Finance, like every aspect of our business, is more intricate and complex than ever,” said Romano. “Dorothy is a great finance executive whose expertise and experience will continue to make her successful in her new position. I congratulate her on this well deserved promotion.”
Barber has been with the Studio 15 years; among the projects she’s handled during her tenure is the successful merging and reporting of Turner and Castle Rock libraries following Time Warner’s acquisition of those assets. Prior to joining Warner Bros., she worked at Orion Pictures Corporation for nine years in the finance department, lastly serving as vice president overseeing all third-party reporting, including participations, residuals, records and music publishing. Prior to that she worked at Ernst & Young where she earned her CPA certification. # # #
