John Redmann Joins Kerrie Moriarty As An Executive Producer Of “The Tyra Banks Show”
(August 1, 2005 – Burbank, CA) - Emmy Award-winning talk show runner John Redmann has been named an Executive Producer of “The Tyra Banks Show.” Redmann and Kerrie Moriarty will work together as a team to run the show. The announcement was made today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Telepictures Productions.
“With John’s experience across all genres of daytime talk and specifically his celebrity know-how, he serves as the perfect complement to Kerrie’s issue-oriented expertise,” said Estey McLoughlin. “We want to add even more strength to a big, ambitious show especially in the celebrity arena and John will be instrumental in booking the celebrity talent and musical acts for the show. Kerrie will continue to oversee the shows that cover the real women issues that are relevant to Tyra’s generation including relationships, body image and self-esteem. The show will also continue to concentrate on fashion and beauty, pop culture and lifestyle segments.”
Redmann most recently served as the Executive Producer of “The Tony Danza Show” and before that he was the Executive Producer of “The Wayne Brady Show,” where the show was nominated for Daytime Emmys for both Outstanding Talk Show (winning in its first season) and Outstanding Talk Show Host both years it was on the air. He was instrumental in bringing both of those shows back for second seasons. Previously, Redmann served as Supervising Producer on the Emmy Award-winning “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.” Redmann also worked at “Ricki Lake” and “Leeza Gibbons.”
