(November 29, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – Judy Mitchell has been named Vice President, Affiliate Marketing & Co-Op, Warner Bros. Domestic Television, it was announced today by Susan Kantor, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. In her new role, Mitchell will be responsible for the supervision, organization and communication of local station marketing, media and promotion strategies internally and with affiliates, working closely with the sales and WBDTD/Telepictures’ marketing teams to optimize station performance and enhance the effectiveness of show promotion on a local level. Mitchell will also oversee the affiliate marketing and station relations teams to develop cohesive marketing plans, manage and evaluate station activity/performance and develop initiatives and actionable plans of local stations. “Judy comes to us as a veteran affiliate relations executive with vast local television marketing experience along with her well established network of relationships with broadcast groups and television station executives,” said Kantor. “She will be a terrific addition to the WBDTD Marketing team and to help drive rating success in our local markets while continuing to reinforce our goal of providing excellent client service.” Mitchell joins Warner Bros. after 19 years of working her way up through the ranks at CBS, working as Regional Director, CBS Affiliates and Owned & Operated Stations (Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Territories), Group Director, Affiliate Relations CBS Television Network & UPN Television Network, and, most recently Managing Group Director, Affiliate Relations, CBS Television Network. She began her career working in marketing and promotion in the Providence market working both at WJAR-TV and WPRI-TV.
