Laura Valan Promoted To Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration, Warner Bros. Television Group
(April 4, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – Laura Valan has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration, Warner Bros. Television Group, it was announced today by Bruce Rosenblum, President, Warner Bros. Television Group.
In this new post, Valan has complete oversight of all financial and administrative operations for the television group and its businesses including financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting and accounting. She also heads up finance for Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures. Valan will work closely with the financial, administrative and operations executives within the WBTVG businesses as well as those on a corporate level.
“Laura and I have worked together for many, many years,” said Rosenblum. “She has been a valuable member of our senior executive team, and this promotion acknowledges her tremendous contributions to our Group. Laura has been a trusted advisor to me and to the leadership of our television divisions. I look forward to her expanded role within our company, from both a personal and professional standpoint.”
Prior to her current post, Valan served in the corporate role of Senior Vice President, Television Financial Management, Warner Bros. Entertainment, a position she had held since 1999, when she assumed responsibility for the financial reporting for the television group. Valan came to Warner Bros. as part of Warner Communications’ 1989 acquisition of Lorimar Telepictures as vice president, television financial management. She joined Lorimar in 1985 as Corporate Controller from KPMG, where she began her career as an auditor. ###
