Michael Teicher Promoted To Executive Vice President, Media Sales, Warner Bros. Television Group
(September 20, 2006 – Burbank, CA) – Michael Teicher has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Media Sales, Warner Bros. Television Group, it was announced today by Bruce Rosenblum, President, Warner Bros. Television Group.
In this newly created position, Teicher will be responsible for all of the media sales activities of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution. In addition, he will be responsible for domestic advertising sales related to the exploitation of WBTVG’s content on the Web and through mobile devices, focusing his efforts on creating multi-platform advertising opportunities and initiatives across all WBTVG programming sales. Teicher will also work closely with Rich Rosenthal, who recently joined the company to head WBTVG’s new advertiser-aligned, digital production venture Studio 2.0.

Prior to his promotion, Teicher served as Executive Vice President, Media Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, a post he held since joining the Company in January 2002. At WBDTD he oversaw the staff responsible for selling national advertising time for such first-run series as “The Tyra Banks Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Extra,” “The People’s Court,” “Judge Mathis,” “elimiDATE and “Showtime at the Apollo” as well as off-network series including “Two and a Half Men,” “Friends,” “Will & Grace,” “The West Wing” (weekend broadcast window) and “ER” (weekend broadcast window).
Teicher joined WBDTD from ReplayTV, where he was Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Client Solutions, Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc., having also served as Vice President, Global Client Solutions after joining Turner Broadcasting Sales as an account executive for ad sales at Turner Sports. Prior to joining Turner, Teicher was an account executive with Major League Baseball Productions, a television sports syndication company based in New York.
