Susan Fleishman Named Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications Warner Bros. Entertainment
(September 13, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Highly respected communications and public affairs executive Susan Fleishman has been named Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, Warner Bros. Entertainment, it was announced today by Barry M. Meyer, Chairman & CEO, Warner Bros., to whom she will directly report.
In her new post, which she will assume on September 26, Fleishman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the Company’s corporate communications strategies and activities on a worldwide basis, including media relations (entertainment, business and general), employee communications (working with the Studio’s human resources team), governmental relations and executive communications. Further, she will work closely with the Chairman and senior management to ensure the Studio’s messaging reflects its core values and advances the company’s business strategy.
“We will look to Sue to help formulate and communicate, both internally and externally, our position on critical issues such as piracy, runaway production and First Amendment questions,” said Meyer. “It is crucial that we have a knowledgeable, effective and respected voice representing us. We believe we’ve found this voice in Sue.”

Prior to joining Warner Bros., Fleishman spent a decade at Universal Studios, holding a number of senior communications posts. She was most recently Senior Vice President, Community Affairs, NBC Universal and Corporate Media Affairs, Universal Studios, a position to which she was appointed in 2004. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, having joined Universal in 1995 as Executive Director, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.
Fleishman joined Universal from Rosen & Company where, as Director of Communications, she managed a diverse roster of entertainment and corporate accounts. Prior to that, she was Director of Public Affairs for Sony Corporation of America, where she developed and managed public relations, community affairs and issues management programs. Before Sony, Fleishman was Assistant Vice President, Public Relations for Continental Insurance.
She is the Vice Chairman of the board of trustees of the Providence Saint Joseph Foundation. She is also a board member of Workplace Hollywood and a trustee of The Country School.
Fleishman graduated cum laude from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, with a degree in American literature.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
