(May 5, 2005 - Burbank, CA) - Tweety, the wise-cracking, wide-eyed yellow canary of Looney Tunes fame, will be flying into two of fashion’s hottest, trend-setting retailer roosts later this month when KITSON, the Los Angeles boutique, and SCOOP locations in Manhattan, South Beach, Las Vegas, Greenwich and the Hamptons, begin carrying an exclusive collection of clothing and accessories for women based on the animated icon. The collection celebrates Tweety as a “Natural Blonde” and puts a new twist on an age-old adage with the theme “Tweety’s Have More Fun!” The collection shines with yellow, the season’s most popular color, twinkles with bejeweling, and sparkles with the big blue eyes of Tweety. With a refreshed artwork treatment designed exclusively for this program, each product captures the cheeky cuteness of Tweety while appealing to the fashion sensibility of today’s young female shopper. “Tweety has an adorable wide-eyed innocence and a sparkle of irreverent mischief that makes for a perfect fashion fit,” said Karine Joret, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Communications, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “We’re excited to be partnering with some of the most creative product manufacturers and two of fashion’s leading boutiques to create a Tweety collection for fashionistas from the Hamptons to Hollywood.” The collection will include lightweight cashmere sweaters from Cake Couture and Raw 7; embroidered blazers and T-shirts from Joystick; T-shirts from And Cake, Cosmosfact and Junk Food; jewel-encrusted tank-tops from Bejeweled; bikinis by Shoshanna; sandals by Havaianas; a ballet slipper by Delman and charm bracelets, necklaces and pave’d accessories from Madeline Beth.
