Warner Bros. International Television Distribution And Lyse Tele Enter Into VOD Deal In Norway
(November 24, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has entered into a deal with Lyse Tele in Norway to provide select films from Warner Bros. Pictures on Lyse Tele’s Video-On-Demand service, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD), and Toril Nag, Managing Director Lyse Tele AS.
The deal, which was negotiated by Mickie Steinmann, Vice President, Sales, WBITD, will provide Lyse Tele’s television broadband subscribers, both those in its own area and those belonging to its partners access to current features from the Studio, including such titles as “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Mystic River” and “The Last Samurai,” as well as select library titles.
Lyse Tele’s VOD customers will be able to view these films on television when desired and be able to stop and rewind the films by means of the remote control.
“We are delighted that Lyse Tele will now deliver Warner Bros.’ films conveniently and in a high-quality format to their customers,” said Schlesinger. “We are committed to finding new ways of bringing our content to the consumer and we believe this deal further demonstrates that commitment.”
