The widow of a murdered bank president and a maverick financier must prevent a crisis when Arab nations threaten to pull their funds from U.S. banks, thereby causing a worldwide financial collapse.

Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Jane Fonda portrays a glamorous ex-film star seeking to control the financial empire founded by her late husband, in the wake of his murder. Golden Globe-winner Kris Kristofferson joins her as a financial troubleshooter trying to salvage the bank that funded the company's operations.

They become lovers, and travel together to Saudi Arabia to secure a loan and guarantee her spot as the company's board chairman. However, they uncover an Arab company's plot to withdraw money from the world's banks in order to destabilize the Western economy.
