"Ellen's" 13th Season Premiere is Biggest Premiere Ever – Matching Performance of 2004 Debut
(September 9, 2015 – Burbank, CA) – Tuesday's 13th season premiere of the Emmy Award-winning “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” matched its best season opener performance in 11 years, earning a 3.2 rating/9 share among households across the overnight markets. Among Women 25-54 in New York, the series scored an enormous 3.1 rating/20 share, its biggest debut ever among that important demo, gaining +10 share points over the Steve Harvey lead-in. Tuesday's premiere featured an interview with Caitlyn Jenner in her first talk show appearance. On Thursday and Friday, the show kicks off two shows originating from New York's Rockefeller Center, featuring Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and host of "The Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon.

Across all of the overnight markets, “Ellen” improved lead-in programming (2.0/6) by +60% in rating/+50% in share among household. In W25-54, the series' 1.8/11 was a +100% improvement in rating and +83% boost in share from its lead-in (0.9/6) in the 25 LPM markets.
